When we started NEW TAILOR in 1997, we already felt that clothing should start with the customer and his conscious choice. Only then can you wear clothes that really fit, both literally and figuratively. With tailored clothing you can show even better what you like and enjoy, it fits (of course) better and it lasts longer. You have the opportunity to determine all the details and choose the color and design that really suits you and your wardrobe. NEW TAILOR is the curator of quality and ensures the best materials, fit and style. In consultation with you, we look at where best to have your shirt, pants, jacket, pullover or outdoor jacket made. In this, we are the architect of your clothing and the stylist for you.
Onze achtergrond ligt in de hospitality en dat merk je aan de manier waarop we denken en doen. Het draait in alles om jou. Met aandacht maken we jouw kleding. Uniek in Nederland is het feit dat we nog in onze eigen ateliers in Utrecht pakken en jasjes maken. Maatkleding zorgt voor een kleinere footprint omdat de kleding allemaal gebruikt wordt en langer meegaat. De kleding van NEW TAILOR staat bekend om de contouren die het lichaam volgen en comfort geven. De schouder sluit naadloos aan, net als de kraag. Nergens is de kleding te groot en zeker niet te klein waardoor het comfort geeft bij alle bewegingen. De fournituren en stoffen zijn natuurlijk en verfijnd.
Smart CasuAl wear
You want to look groomed every day, and feel comfortable in your clothes. The need for beautiful luxury clothing with more comfort, a sportier look and the need for sustainability, have resulted in the further development of our smart casual range; we call it Easy Wear. You can basically wear it anytime and anywhere. Besides Easy Wear jackets, we are of course also happy to make your chinos, pullovers and casual shirts for you. Made-to-measure, of course.
Smart Business Wear
The assurance of a good first impression can be found in our Business Wear line. Of course, in addition to suits, we as tailors also make combinations of jackets and a chino that you can and want to wear in a business environment. Just a little more formal and dressier than Easy Wear.
By a little more structure and inner work and just more formal fabrics. With a little more shine, for example, you make an impression and the content becomes more important. So it's clothing you don't have to worry about.
Wedding Wear
For a wedding suit, of course, there is just a little more to it, which is why we like to take all the time we can to inspire and help you with the many choices. We have a lot of experience in making clothes for a wedding and other formal occasions. From a tuxedo for formal dinners or a jacquet, a bohemian combination to the ultimate linen wedding outfit for the beach.
Our manufacturing methods
NEW TAILOR - Atelier Utrecht
Als één van de weinige kleermakers in de Benelux maken we nog jasjes en pakken in huis. Voor onze Pakken, Workers & Urbans gebruiken we slechts de stof, een uniek patroon en de ambachtelijke skills van onze kleermaaksters. Het resultaat is een comfortabel, sportief en duurzaam jasje dat draagt als een vest en eruit ziet als een jasje. Het hele proces van het uitzoeken, snijden, maken, passen en dragen is een unieke belevenis die alleen daarom al waarde toevoegt. Bij het uitzoeken van de materialen zorgen we er bovendien voor dat deze zo veel mogelijk uit Nederland komen. Zo houden we footprint minimaal.
NEW TAILOR - Carrara
Handmade tailored jackets, trousers, vests, overcoats and suits are intentionally made in Italy at Sergio, Angela & Paul's refined atelier Sartoria Carrara. You can see the Italian sophistication and suppleness even when the garment is hanging on the hanger. When you put it on, you feel in every fibre that it was made with love and attention. The construction and the haberdashery used on the jackets are so light that you hardly feel the jacket. One of the first customers we had the opportunity to measure a suit on at NEW TAILOR said at the time, "it feels like pyjamas. Above all, it looks super sleek, beautiful and stylish. Emanuel Berg also makes our handmade shirts.
NEW TAILOR - Est. 1997
Our house line is made entirely according to artisanal principles in the best ateliers in Europe and India. For our shirts, tailored jackets and tailored suits, we always design a unique cut to suit the times. Also at NEW TAILOR - Est. 1997 has a loose interior for more suppleness. Clothing therefore only becomes more beautiful and fine with time. Full Canvas is what the English call it. Besides our icons like the peacoat, themorning coat, the tuxedo and the various types of smart casual and business suits, we also offer chinos, knitwear and jeans in this line. Made-to-measure, of course.
